Roof replacement is an investment that you must take seriously. You want the best roof you can get that fits your budget. But in our case, we work with your insurance company to get you a new roof covered under your homeowner’s policy. There is a large array of different types of roofing materials on the market. This makes choosing a new roof overwhelming for some home owners. To help ease your decision-making, we here at Colonial Contracting can look at your roof and help you make an educated decision. Here are a few of the ways that an inspection can help you.
You Get an Inspection
A roof inspection is one of the best assessments to have done. We have Haag certified inspectors that assess your roof’s condition. For instance, by being Haag certified we are versed in the structure of the roof. By that we can speak to the adjuster with assurance that it is damaged and for the safety of the home needs to be replaced.
You call your insurance company
After you find out you have damage call your insurance company. When the adjuster comes out, we will then meet with them. As we understand what type of roofing you need done and can advocate for you. To ultimately get your insurance company to buy and replace your new roof under your policy.
You Get Material Advice
After a roof inspection, you’ll usually be told which materials would work best on your roof. We look at your environment, work within your HOA guidelines if need be, plus the architecture to determine what would suit you. There may be several options, of course. Still, after an inspection, consider the different factors that help you decide on a material. For instance, weather, budget and architecture are important to deciding on a roof.
When it comes to installing a new roof, an inspection will help you save more money. Without it, you may over pay or not be getting the maximum capacity of your claim.
